Partnerships Among Practitioners & Scholars To Be Highlighted at UCLA Conference

Summer institute brings together top scholars from Center X, HERI, and CRESST, June 19-23.

“Learning Together: Practitioners and Scholars in Partnership,” a conference presented by the UCLA Graduate School of Education & Information Studies, will highlight innovative work by top UCLA scholars from Center X, the Higher Education Research Institute (HERI), and the Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, & Student Testing (CRESST). Speakers include Wasserman Dean Marcelo Suárez-Orozco, Annamarie Francois, executive director, Center X; Sylvia Hurtado, division head, Higher Education & Organizational Change; Tyrone Howard, executive director, Black Male Institute; and Pedro Noguera, Distinguished Professor of Education.

Opening sessions will be held in Carnesale Commons, June 19-20. A post-institute workshop will take place in Moore Hall, June 21-23.
