UCLA Education: Applicants Sought for Early Childhood Development and Teacher Education Positions

The UCLA Department of Education is seeking applicants for two full-time faculty positions at the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies.

1) A tenure-track/tenured faculty member, open rank, who specializes in teacher education within a current educational policy context and with a a clear stance on equity, diversity, and social justice in urban schools, and a transformative vision of education. Interest and expertise could include teacher policy, recruitment and retention of teachers of color, uniting theory and practice in innovative ways, community-based teacher preparation, and/or ways of supporting schools in recognizing, and sustaining and building on community cultural wealth. Experience in urban schools is also key including work with immigrants, English Learners, foster youth, racialized/minoritized/LGBTQ students, and those living in under-resourced neighborhoods.

2) A tenure-track/tenured position as an assistant /associate professor in Early Childhood Development and Education. Potential candidates must have a program of research with an applied developmental perspective on early childhood education.
